BORDER PROTECTION - Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS)

ISSUE

Border guard agencies are constantly involved in situations which need rapid response. In most cases, such continuous remote areas as national boundaries lack reliable power and communication infrastructure, reducing the possibility to detect the intrusion and take necessary actions in time.

OBJECTIVES

Our mission is to provide an early warning about the intrusion, define the type of the intruder and eliminate false alarms at the same time.

OUR SOLUTION

RADIOBARRIER uses unattended ground sensors (UGS) to provide effective monitoring and surveillance of boundaries in any geographical and climate conditions.

RS-U seismic sensors (ground sensors) are installed in such a way that their detection zones overlap and create a continuous and concealed protection line along the entire border. Also, it helps to exclude false alarms.

Autonomous operation of the system up to 5 years and wireless communication make the solution incompatible and the only possible for areas with no power and communication infrastructure.

The location of seismic sensors is used as fly points for UAVs to provide monitoring and visual confirmation over the remote sections of the border. The UAV reaches the possible intrusion as soon as one or several seismic sensors start transmitting alarms.
